It’s that time of year again!
The great Grand National is only 1 day away, and we’ve done our usual office sweepstake. Each member of the Agency51 team has picked a horse at random, and the winner receives a HUGE £25! Ok, it’s not much money but it’s a bit of fun!
So, what does this have to do with digital? Well, we’re quite impressed with www.thecrabbiesgrandnational.co.uk. Let’s take a look…
The home page is elegant, simple and informative. A striking banner instantly captures the visitor’s attention guiding them to ‘read more’. The navigation is clean, with a main focus on conversion i.e. ‘buy now’ and social links.
We love the fact that the TV ad is included in the main banner, enabling visitors to navigate quickly to feature rich and engaging content. One of the best things about the site from a usability point of view is the sticky ‘plan you day’ footer. This holds links to weather, race times and location. The only bit we don’t like is that these links go to external pages – all content should be kept within the site.
All in all, good job Grand National!
The Crabbie’s Grand National Festival 2014 will take place from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th April – Good luck if you’ve picked your horses.
